The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) has unveiled two major projects designed to elevate the city’s infrastructure and tourism potential: the East Coast Habitat Centre and the Vizag Experience and Virtual Reality Arena. These developments are set to revolutionize Visakhapatnam’s urban environment, offering cutting-edge amenities for both locals and tourists.

East Coast Habitat Centre: A Dynamic Urban Hub

Taking inspiration from New Delhi’s India Habitat Centre, the East Coast Habitat Centre is planned for an expansive 8.82-acre site in Rushikonda. This ambitious development is set to include:

This project is designed to meet the growing demand for multifunctional spaces in Visakhapatnam, catering to individuals, businesses, government bodies, and non-resident Indians (NRIs).

Vizag Experience and Virtual Reality Arena: A Technological Tourism Revolution

To further enhance Visakhapatnam’s tourism appeal, VMRDA has proposed the Vizag Experience and Virtual Reality Arena, to be built on a 2.82-acre site along Law College Road in Rushikonda. This state-of-the-art attraction will blend virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and interactive gaming to offer visitors a unique technological experience. Key features include:

• 360-Degree Immersive Theatre: An all-encompassing visual experience.
• Mixed Reality Escape Room and Thematic Animation Show: Interactive attractions merging storytelling with advanced technology.
